實習機構簡介:
Nokia, with 100,000 employees, is an innovation leader in the technologies that connect people and things. Nokia Bell Labs is now at the heart of Nokia's global innovation strategy and has a mandate to accelerate Nokia's strategy of innovation with its ongoing mission to "Invent the Future”.
The Efficient Energy Transfer (ηET) Department focuses on thermal management of electronics and photonics, and energy storage for small cells. The research spans a broad range of application spaces such as Wireless, Fixed Access and IP Routing and Transport. The group combines expertise in thermal science, fluid dynamics, material science and electronics to develop single- and two-phase cooling techniques and precision temperature control technologies across a broad range of length-scales from the macro- to the nano-scale.
海外實習執行內容:
The internship will consist of the following components:
(a) Build an acoustic levitator
- Perform literature review on acoustic levitation experimental setups.
- Design the acoustic levitator using a CAD package.
- Fabricate levitator using additive or conventional manufacturing.
- Develop electronics for the levitator using off-the-shelf components.
(b) Demonstrate acoustophoresis
- Perform literature review on acoustophoresis.
- Develop a set of parameters to demonstrate the concept.
- Replicate the built levitator to perform simulations for testing the proposed parameters.
- Validate simulations through experiments using the acoustic levitator.
(c) Present work
- Submit a report detailing the work.
- Give a presentation to the Ecient Energy Transfer group at Nokia Bell Labs.
