摘要:
Viscous fingering is an interfacial fluid flow instability occurred when the less viscous fluid displaced to the higher viscous fluid in a Hele-Shaw cell. If two fluids are immiscible and the prominence of viscous fingering is mainly depended on dimensionless Capillary number (Ca), which is defined as the ratio of the viscous force to the interfacial tension, and viscosity contrast, often represented by the normalized Atwood number (A). Some recent studies of injection process control had been discussed to enhance the oil-recovery efficiency. Present study is an investigation of immiscible viscous fingering dynamics with different alternative injection process. Furthermore, the simulation results of the flow patterns are compared with the experimental results and shown good agreement.
