Team ASARe is back in Taiwan, rested and well-fed after the successful mission. Here are some photos we selected from Launch Day that showcase our endeavor.
Developed primarily by student engineers, this flight brought together a powerhouse three-party regional aerospace collaboration:
✦ ASARe Lab: developing the structural enclosure and flying an event-based cosmic ray detector, and an Insta360 camera capturing the full stratospheric view.
✦ STAR: Flying an experimental communications payload to test new horizons for satellite payload.
✦ Space System Lab and SpaceIn startup: Providing essential launch operations, flight infrastructure, and hands-on expertise.
As a proud nod to our roots, the mission also carries the #國立陽明交通大學機械系 and #iSSE - 國立陽明交通大學 太空系統工程研究所 💫50th Anniversary Golden Legacy Disc💫 to the stratosphere, inscribed with names that honor the space institute’s donors.
📡 Though we encountered a loss of signal midway through the flight, available data suggests an instantaneous altitude of at least 12,572m at 35min into flight, compared to the projected 24,471m at 1hr.
Team ASARe would especially want to highlight our mission supporter J Group - building dreams together , 磊山保險經紀人股份有限公司 and private donors, as well as assistance from #國立陽明交通大學機械系, home to our undergraduate team members. A special mention to the HAM radio team in Malaysia that picked up our landing signal, and the MVP whom enthusiastically supported our recovery (2nd last photo)!
Mission Team, over and out.
