About Speaker:  Professor Yang received his Ph.D. degree in 1983 from the Energy Division of the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was recruited as a professor, who has been teaching fluid mechanics, heat transfer and energy conversion engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Taiwan University (NTU) since August, 2008. He was a faculty of the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) during 1983-2008. Prof. Yang’s research achievements are outstanding. He received the Outstanding Research Award of the Ministry of Science & Technology (1997-1998, 2011-2014, 2014-2017), Chor-Chang Chong Chair Professor of 2014, the National Award of Invention and Creation, the National Innovation Award (of biotechnology) of 2007, 2014, & 2015, the awards of the Outstanding Engineering Professor of the Society of Chinese Engineers, the Outstanding Engineering Professor of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Silver Medals of TECO Green Tech Contest in 2012 & 2014.
